Gladys turned 18 | photo

She looks at the camera, she puts her hands here, she angles her face facing there. She obediently does what Team DP asks her to do, knowing, it seems, that she’s in the best of hands. Inspired by her enthusiasm, Team DP points, shoots, and shoots some more.

Blueroze Farms turned into her kingdom, where she frolicked, posed and smiled with ease. Team DP, her subjects, was amazed at her boundless energy. It was only a matter of time when, after what seemed like so many hours, the queen bestowed her royal order: “halt the shoot, for the queen needs rest”. Team DP obliged and showed its magic: her Royal Highness, ready to conquer the world, not as a young girl, but a woman, this time.

What makes a wedding celebration most memorable? Is it the church? The venue? The food? Team DP re-discovered that in every wedding, it is ALWAYS the couple that makes it special. And in this wedding, the couple made sure that their friends and loved ones could ALL go and partake in this momentous occasion. That after 18 years of civil union, the groom and the bride will vow to have and to hold each other in Church, surrounded by loved ones, family and friends.

The celebration’s venue was nothing like what Team DP has done before: it was held at the couple’s home. It was a new endeavor and Team DP enthusiastically took interest. Imagine the number of people that will gather, the logistics and preparation, the timing. Yet, Team DP took this challenge and more shot the photos in the traditional way. The result? The wedding that the couple always hoped for. Cheers!

Remember when we said Team DP also had the responsibility to ease those fear-of-cameras away? They did it again! At first this PYT (pretty young thing) was uncomfortable and a bit nervous, but as the photo shoot continued, she found her confidence. Her power-pose was definitely her in the white floor-trailing gown!

DP proudly brings you the biggest breaking news, so big and terribly breaking that it actually extends all the way to Team DP’s FX video camera. It was indeed a lucky day for the back-up video cam which enjoyed working to the best of its ability. It was a reserved date for this couple’s I-do and that takes over any other concern that DP had.

DP was there to finish the job splendidly, with or without the FX. ☺

They say that when the groom hands his bride the arraeh, he’s saying “All of me are yours”. It is the perfect symbol not of submission but of partnership, of deference and not of surrender.

Speaking of deference, the groom made sure that the bride gets the wedding that she deserves. With the help of Shindig Themes, each details of the event was perfectly executed, with nothing forgotten or left behind. The result: the wedding of her dreams.

She walks down the aisle, knowing that this is just the beginning of the path she has chosen. She is with her parents, but she knows that once she meets her groom, she will be “wife” more than “daughter”, “bride” above “child”. He eagerly stood waiting. Finally, she will be his. For years he has longed to be her man, and this time, he can tell the world: “This is my bride. We are meant to be.” Look and see, through each of the photos, that indeed, the whole universe agrees.

Created into existence by The LAB, the Greco-Roman inspired gown stood ready, awaiting the girl who would wear her. The gown knew her owner was special for by the end of the night, this girl would be officially known as a lady to her family and to the world. It was almost a no-go from the girl’s father concerning a big celebration such as this debut. But what did Mommy do? She convinced Dear Dad and the debby got her birthday wish!

Let us travel back to the times of high society where the Barong Tagalog showcased the status, wealth, and prestige of a family. Where it was the pride and joy to be born of the islands, and the very atmosphere radiated with happiness and revelry. This aura clearly permeated the air as the wedding festivities took place. It indeed felt like a page out of history, as every guest and attendee had their own versions of the Barong Tagalog and Filipiniana. With a roasting lechon in the reception area and every where one looked, the details of tradition and modernity blending into each other, one can smile and say, “Mabuhay ang bagong kasal!”
