Summer’s glare was prickling against Team DP’s backs. Though the temptation to run indoors and into shady retreats were high, Team DP had a mission: to make this nuptial video a smashing hit. And a hit it was. From the bride’s chambers, a flurry of make-up sessions and donning of the gown. From the groom’s quarters, strapping those suspenders in place and sitting those glasses on the bridge of his nose. The engagement ring on the bride’s hand sat proudly, a trophy, a prize. The groom looked like a sharp secret agent ready for a mission himself. Making their way down to the church, the gates slowly opened. The bride finally made it down the aisle. The groom held her hand throughout the ceremony. Then the kiss! Another event gone great. Cheers!

The wait was finally over. after two fully booked weeks, the resort’s gate was open for a photo shoot! equally playful and enthusiastic, keeping up with this couple’s vigor was set in full swing, from cabanas to shore line, the hardcore sun was too much of an unwanted lighting. Frustrated, the gears were put to rest as DP waited for the sun to ease. Soon enough the lens made its way and finally got what it was expecting all day – a certified knock-out memoir of this light  hearted  couple.  Equipped with their own mixed versions of self-reliance and poise – Abby and Claudette gave the bride a lot more reasons to smile that day.

p.s. Aching feet, that’s what you ought to pay when redefining creativity. :D

The excitement was tangible. Team DP could almost grasp it with their hands. The happy, uplifting, and cheerful atmosphere was thick with optimism, DP couldn’t help but join in on the good spirits. DP noticed one remarkable fact: the SMILES!  It was on everyone’s faces, most especially the groom and his bride. Everyone had reason to be joyful: the joining of two becoming one before God, family, and society is indeed a grand celebration. A celebration of friendship, of love, of life. Cheers!

“Planner” was written somewhere in between her middle name – from gown selection to seating arrangement to supplier meeting. name it because she has it all under her belt. Amidst the busy academic calendar to exams and reports, she was a full time student and a hands on debutant since day one. DP was presumably early, she was unmistakably ready and just like that – good times started rolling in.  :D

Donning his crisp white barong on and shining his shoes to perfection, the groom is game for the ceremony. Sitting still for her makeup and finally tying the lace of her gown, the bride is ready for this big occasion. The groom and bride, still in their respective rooms, both try to laugh off their nervousness. The groom smiles for the cameras as his mother gives him one last smooch and hug as her baby boy. The bride wrings her hands together, trying to shake out the butterflies in her stomach. Once both groom and bride are assembled in the venue, the religious rites take place. With a final kiss, now groom and bride are bound as one before God.

With God’s blue eyes as the sky and the ocean as the altar, this heartfelt gathering by the shimmering morning sea saw a man and woman become man and wife. “…my best friend, my love, my wife…” announced the groom as he read his vows to his bride. The charged secret glances between the couple were captured on black and white film, a forever-reminder of the love held between the couple. If wedding-goers assume the bride and the female population are the only ones shedding tears, GUESS AGAIN! Even the groom and some other males partake in the waterworks. Here’s one last photo to tickle the funny bones: the groom taking off the garter from the bride’s legs with his TEETH! Cheers!

Who’s that lady in red? Or that dashing dude in a vest? With nature as a strong background, it nearly overpowered the main focus: the couple! With sky above, grass below, and two very-smitten lovers, the scene is picture perfect! The two weren’t even daunted by the fact that they were surrounded by people, even as they shared precious kisses. All the elements seemed to be present in the shoot: air (oxygen), water (the lake), earth (grassy ground), fire (the sun), and…metal (the engagement rings!) All-in-all, DP had a great time doing this shoot. Cheers!

Les turning 18 | photos

Sun, sand, and sea, the three must-haves on Les’ list for a stunning shoot. But first things first: DP wanted to do a test shot, because well, taking shots with fading light was a different approach. Les wanted a sunset-theme, and what better place than the seaside? By the time DP had warmed up with some practice shots, they quickly realized that they didn’t need a run through; everything was perfect! With the sun just behind her shoulder, DP captured her sleek silhouette beautifully set against the sinking star.
