Gholem + Donna nuptials | photo

With the groom looking sleek in his tuxedo and shades and the bride blooming in her white laces and embroideries, the wedding was soon underway. But the real photo shooting spree took place at the after party. It was like being on an island with people wearing garland necklaces and people passing under a flower-covered limbo-stick to the beat of the music. DJ, strike that beat! Instead of throwing confetti, the crowds sprinkled the newlyweds with fuchsia and pink flower petals. Not once did the bride call Team DP’s head by name but simply as “idol,” showing how much respect she had for his works. All in all, a great festivity. Cheers!

This was one of those days that the head of Team DP wasn’t around. So Jay took up the challenge. A call from the debby’s mother to the head of Team DP asked for four blow-up photos for a walk-in gallery. After relaying the information, Jay took care of this quick change of plans professionally, timely, and with flair. With the debby in striped green, calming blues, and sunset flushed colors of orange, pinks and yellows, she beautifully posed amid the backdrop of the forest and a house made of bamboo and other natural materials. This gave the shoot that unmistakable earthy feel.

Wilson + Yeth nuptials | photo

Blue skies above and green gardens below. The bride is on a paved walkway through the woods before she steps onto the aisle that leads to her husband and future. Tears are shed, by old and by all as the bride and groom are joined in matrimony. The bride and groom are all smiles as the ceremonies take place. Another perfect photo opportunity by Team DP. Cheers!

Reagan + Karen engagement | photos

All aboard! The captain of this Love Boat would like to welcome you. Whether at land or at sea, this couple’s love is alive. At first Mother Nature wasn’t so cooperative, but at the second time around, the photo shoot went on as planned. It just shows that when blessings rain down, it definitely pours (literally)!

Oliver + Kat nuptials | photos

Suspenders, barong, and…a betamax tape player? Now that’s old-school! Just looking at these photos, we can already imagine a dialogue between the bride and Team DP.
Bride: Where’s my shoes?
TDP: It’s here, just taking a picture of it, wait lang po.

Kidding aside, set against a beautiful altar of yellow and gold, bride and groom are finally joined. Cheers!

No more shy moments for her, the ice has finally been broken. The surge of adrenaline was over-flowing; half the part was under DP’s belt. But as soon as the big church door opens, everything fell into their perfect order.

The groom instantly knew that DP’s main man will be more useful as part of the team rather than representing himself as part of the entourage.  Because more than walking down the aisle, more than dawning into a barong or tux, more than labeling oneself as the best man. DP finds another level of privileged in capturing the moments that happen in-between.  :D

Thad + Apple nuptials | photo

The best way to observe tradition is to attend a wedding. Particularly, Thad and Apple’s wedding. From preparation to reception, it was a wedding that has had high-regards for the famous, Filipino traditions.

But somewhere along Star Tollway, the contemporary mood won them over and had a one-of-kind, outstandingly superb Mr. and Mrs. photo shoot.

Louie + Reena engagement | photo

No contract signing, no demo, no meetings. All there was to it was a February verbal agreement reserving July 17, 2010. Five months later, a text message hits send and finally arranged a last minute meeting. Louie and Reena settled all scores, from the package to the additional inclusion, ending the night away with engagement shoot plans.
Two days before the event, DP reached the City library, the bride’s old house and the Batangas port. She was anxious, bashful at the thought that the man behind the lens is close friend of many years. He was composed, mostly because he was at home with the familiarity that the man behind the lens brings. Either way, their ambivalence showed perfect clarity of being meant to be. :D
