We never go to our shoots unprepared. From the concept to the execution, up until the preview, trust that we always have a plan in mind. Since we always endeavor to guarantee that our clients get the best, unique and most memorable rendition of their special events, we always strive to think of the best ways to tell their stories from our lens. For onsite wedding videos, we always want to make sure that the song we play captures the essence of the subjects’ love story. But ultimately, it is the couple, and in this wedding, the bride, who knows the story better than we do. On her wedding day, right before the preps, when she requested to use a song different from what we had in mind, we immediately agreed. A change of plan is no problem, because we always have a backup In the end, it was a better version of what we had in mind. It was a beautiful song that depicts a beautiful story.

“The Feeling” by Ben Rector

It seems like only yesterday when we were witness to her transformation from a spritely girl to a vibrant young woman. She was excited to turn 18 at that time, and she had the world at her feet. Fast forward to today, and we were beheld once again, captivated with what we were seeing. She changed once more. She was still the same young woman, but this time, there was a noticeable glow, joy emanating from here. Today, she was getting married, and she invited Team DP to capture her moments once more. She was a radiant bride, a woman ready to walk towards happily ever after. And we couldn’t be more happy when finally we saw, that the transformation was complete. Happily ever after has begun.

The First Time by Michael Castro

This wedding coverage is like one big family reunion for Team DP. No, we weren’t related by blood. But because both the bride and groom were affiliated to our previous clients in one way or another, we are already familiar with them. And like any reunions, this wedding was a celebration of sorts. There were tears of joy, laughter, utmost happiness and indescribable bliss. It was truly a day to remember. From the moment the bride walked down the aisle, up until the part where we witness the couple dancing amidst an incredible fireworks display, it really felt as if we’ve been part of this journey all along.

Some say that the journey is better than the destination. In this case, we have to agree. The challenges we faced (we got lost when we travelled from the groom’s place to the bride’s residence) and the logistical difficulties we encountered (setting up our equipment on 4 different locations, on a limited time, with lots of miles covered in between was one of them), was well worth it when we saw the couple’s reaction after seeing the video for the first time. All traces of fear and tiredness were erased and replaced by pride and ultimate joy. Because really, we are in this business to ensure that our clients get to see the story unfold through the pictures and the videos we shoot. And seeing them cry and laugh along to the clips we showed would have made us do it all over again, to give them the same amount of happiness and delight, one more time

As the song went, this is the story of their love. From the flush on her cheeks as she walked towards him, the moment of eye contact between them, the flutter of her eyelids when she looked up into his adoring eyes, and when they both sat down side by side, moments before they were declared husband and wife, you just know that theirs is a beautiful story. Amidst the backdrop of the gorgeous flower arrangements, breathtaking venue and the flurry of events that transpired, they are wrapped in each others’ arms, that moment truly theirs.
