She was straightforward with her request, and how can we say no? She wanted to have high-rise buildings on the background, and despite the challenges of permits and looking for the perfect spots, of course we immediately said Yes! She was game and cooperative all throughout, even when we were rushing from one location to another. In these shots, she could be in Clark Quay in Singapore or in Central Park in New York USA, or right here in the Philippines. But what stood out was how mod and chic she looked even at a tender age of 17. We couldn’t be more proud to show this side of her!

From the instant we focused our lens on her and proceeded with the shoot, we knew there was something special about her. She can bring her surroundings to life just by being there! No matter where she was, be it standing next to a public bathroom, or by the sea or biking along a dirt road, her presence made it all look extraordinary. This would-be debutante is definitely someone who stood out even when she was just fitting in. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for her in the future!

We never go to our shoots unprepared. From the concept to the execution, up until the preview, trust that we always have a plan in mind. Since we always endeavor to guarantee that our clients get the best, unique and most memorable rendition of their special events, we always strive to think of the best ways to tell their stories from our lens. For onsite wedding videos, we always want to make sure that the song we play captures the essence of the subjects’ love story. But ultimately, it is the couple, and in this wedding, the bride, who knows the story better than we do. On her wedding day, right before the preps, when she requested to use a song different from what we had in mind, we immediately agreed. A change of plan is no problem, because we always have a backup In the end, it was a better version of what we had in mind. It was a beautiful song that depicts a beautiful story.

“The Feeling” by Ben Rector

No pre-nup? No problem! We’ll come up w/ a post-nuptial shoot that will trump even the best of the pre-nup shoots we’ve done, because of one crucial difference: the wedding dress. Since the festivities were done, the guests have left and there was no occasion to wear the wedding dress one more time, we can do whatever we want with the bride wearing it! And we did! Look on and see how we saved even more wedding memories by trashing the wedding dress a bit.

It seems like only yesterday when we were witness to her transformation from a spritely girl to a vibrant young woman. She was excited to turn 18 at that time, and she had the world at her feet. Fast forward to today, and we were beheld once again, captivated with what we were seeing. She changed once more. She was still the same young woman, but this time, there was a noticeable glow, joy emanating from here. Today, she was getting married, and she invited Team DP to capture her moments once more. She was a radiant bride, a woman ready to walk towards happily ever after. And we couldn’t be more happy when finally we saw, that the transformation was complete. Happily ever after has begun.

The First Time by Michael Castro

This wedding coverage is like one big family reunion for Team DP. No, we weren’t related by blood. But because both the bride and groom were affiliated to our previous clients in one way or another, we are already familiar with them. And like any reunions, this wedding was a celebration of sorts. There were tears of joy, laughter, utmost happiness and indescribable bliss. It was truly a day to remember. From the moment the bride walked down the aisle, up until the part where we witness the couple dancing amidst an incredible fireworks display, it really felt as if we’ve been part of this journey all along.

Call us cheesy, but we can’t help but think of the song “Can We Just Stop and Talk A While” when we found out this couple’s love story. How can you blame us, when it all started with a serendipitous meeting at a popular coffee establishment (the red, not the green one)! She was a barista, he was a customer. Of all the shops he would visit, he went to the one where she’s working at. Was it fate? Was it coincidence? One thing led to another, and the years of being in a long distance relationship finally led to this day. It was indeed a happy day, because his dream girl, who caught his eye on that fateful day while she served him his coffee, was now his betrothed, set to serve him not only coffee but also give him her love and life for years to come.

It was a mutual understanding at first meeting, even better than love at first sight. Introductions were not needed, and a beautiful partnership was immediately established. We’re talking about our relationship with this couple! The bride was already familiar with our work that we didn’t need to show her our portfolio at our first meeting! She said they trusted us to make them look good on their pictures. Of course, we didn’t want to let them down. They were so nice and never complained about any of the things we wanted them to do. They were open and very easy to talk to. They listened to us and shared their opinions. Talk about an ideal relationship!

Some say that the journey is better than the destination. In this case, we have to agree. The challenges we faced (we got lost when we travelled from the groom’s place to the bride’s residence) and the logistical difficulties we encountered (setting up our equipment on 4 different locations, on a limited time, with lots of miles covered in between was one of them), was well worth it when we saw the couple’s reaction after seeing the video for the first time. All traces of fear and tiredness were erased and replaced by pride and ultimate joy. Because really, we are in this business to ensure that our clients get to see the story unfold through the pictures and the videos we shoot. And seeing them cry and laugh along to the clips we showed would have made us do it all over again, to give them the same amount of happiness and delight, one more time

It was a long journey, but worth it when we got there, literally. At the end of this shoot, just when we were getting ready to leave (we needed to be at another shoot, 2 hours away from the location), the mom told us she prepared a meal for us. How can we say no? It was so good that it was hard to resist having a second serving! We cannot thank them enough for that satisfying meal, so allow us to show our appreciation by presenting the photo reel of Team DP’s best shots of them, that this couple entrusted us to execute. We hope you also find it satisfying.
