That was how I remember working with DP started. I could still visualize how Idol, or Iamie as how most people call him, talked us through the samples during our first meeting at Hotel Ponte Fino. Nakakatense pa nga kasi with Sir Jong on the side mentioning how DP’s works are, lalo akong naging interested na i-avial ang debut package nila at hindi ako papayag na hindi. And so when the deal was closed, I began imagining how the photo shoot will go like.

From one e-mail to another, I kept in touch with DP as we began talking about the shoot. I always am shy in telling Iamie what I was thinking of because whenever I see their new posts on the website, I then scrap my ideas thinking that their ideas are so good that mine wouldn’t be a good match. But of course, Iamie wont let me keep it to myself, that’s why I love them! They make it to a point where it’s what we, the clients, want that will always be the top priority. So to end the discussion, I just said “basta yung gusto nyo, yun na rin yung akin.” –thinking that everything they do with their lenses never fails to take my breath away.

When the day of the pre-occ came, I was feeling so tensed I didn’t know what to do. I was always whispering to my coordinator Sir Noel not to leave my sight for I will drown in complete shyness if I wouldn’t see him during the shoot. It was the first time that I will be the subject, the focus of their photos so at first, of course, he wouldn’t leave, but as hours passed, I was beginning to feel comfortable with DP’s lenses that I didn’t mind the cars passing by the area where we were shooting. I began to get used to flashing my smiles and striking weird poses whether or not I can see Sir Noel, minsan nga kahit tapos na magclick ng flash si Idol nagpopose parin, that’s because as far as I know, the photos DP will give us will always be exceptional. And of course, hindi ako nagkamali, July 15, pre-occ photos were posted, and you bet, I panicked! Never mind that DP’s lead photographer had to overcome his own fear of heights by mounting on a two-story condo unit for a few clicks because clearly this photo shoot is nothing about us and everything about her. True to their words, it was everything. Everything about me.

Still on the stage of moving on from the pre-occ photos came the big day everyone in our family was preparing for. That morning of July 25, stress was filling me and I could smile anymore. When I was having my hair done, I wasn’t speaking at all. Inside the room where I, together with the make-up artists, the coordinating staff and of course DP team were all in, I was looking at nowhere thinking about nothing while people around me are just so busy with the event. I could still remember how empty I felt like hours before the celebration, but that feeling of emptiness was soon wiped away as Iamie decided to roll their cameras and said “neeks, birthday mo ngayon, wag ka ngang malungkot d’yan.” With those words from Idol and some of the words from the people inside that room, I realized, yeah! Now is my time, I should make the most of it! And so I began to regain the energy I needed. I won’t forget how I never felt stressed out while doing the on-site photo shoot, now; I think that it’s all because DP made me feel at ease on or even off-cam. I owe that very big part of my 18^th birthday’s success to DP.

Before i had this plan of getting your team as my partner “media” for my debut, i conducted several canvass in order to get the most preferable one. althroughout this “canvass-thing,” digital picman still weighs more because i have already seen your work and i was amazed on how you capture not only the photos but also the story behind that. i was really curious on how you do the pictorials.. how the client poses? do you coach them? tell them what angle will they look good? how about the outfits? and to answer these questions bothering me, i chose DP.. and i don’t have any regrets for that..

I wanna keep this simple, but.. simple words aren’t really enough for the work and dedication you’ve put forth for our wedding.

I was a bride-to-be not expecting a perfect wedding, honestly. I only wanted to make everything official and exchange my marital vows with my Allen – “my favorite guy”. I was amazed, pictures from the gloomy weather during our prenuptial shoot were so alive! It’s like they shoot on a fine and perfect sunny day! And you should also see our prenuptial video – sobrang kulit! Ang ganda talaga, as in!
Our on-site video was flawlessly rendered (thanks to Shane for genius editing). The video is very catchy, soooooo contagious that even after the wedding my brothers, relatives and friends kept on asking who’s the singer of our on-site video song. To put it simply, very effective ang pagkaka-edit ng video!

You guys exemplify excellence, you care of your shots more than we, your subjects, do.
You dare to take risks and cross boundaries. No rain nor any untoward incident can undermine your will to deliver high-quality results.

Two months ago, we were simply less-than perfect soon-to-be bride and groom..
not expecting a perfect wedding…
But your videos and pictures can tell, presenting me – a beautiful bride and
Allen – a dashing groom

LOL team DP was never out of my mind and i was decided to get them. i was confident that they’d be able to help me with my plans. my parents were telling me to finallize everything before meeting up with DP, but i insisted to them that i have no idea at all and i’ll leave up everthing to DP. so i met up with them and just told them – “gusto ko ng high end fashion shoot, basta parang america’s next top model. kayo na po bahala, wala na akong alam na iba.”

iamie kept on telling me that he wants to hear more of my ideas because it was “new.” i didnt know what to say because that was all i ever wanted and i have no idea on what to do next so i told him – “basta ikaw na bahala.” he told me he’d watch the show to have an idea about it because that’s how they work – they take time on studying about the subject.

our schedules were tight. it was near the opening of the school for me, commitments for DP and the designer as well. the only chance for the shoot was ONE DAY i remember iamie asking me if i can deal with that and i said yes. i had no idea how long a photoshoot takes until my day. it was lunch time already and we weren’t even half way through (3 pa lang!!! LOL) the shoot took place in our own house so we didn’t have to travel because that will take time too. during the first part of the shoot, my mom was so amazed to see our house from different angles. iamie’s lenses were amazing! he had everything around his neck and waist! (the camera’s were heavy =/) they were only three who worked with me – iamie for the photos, martin for the video, and felix for the reflector. i never thought 3 men can put up such great photoshoot.

the shoot took over 12hrs and the team had to go home really late. i asked for a single photo to be posted in the site because i was soooooo excited. i even told my mom later that night, “bakit iba yung mukha ko sa camera ni iamie? hahaha” then i realized it was because of his talent and skills in photography. ive had a lot of photos from different photographers but my photos were never like the ones he took. the photos made me realize how passion, talent, and skill make the difference. a lot of people just take pictures and don’t consider the story behind it. in my case, the shoot didn’t really have a story to tell (unlike other celebrations) but ti was so amazed how my photos had its soul. heir photos capture hearts. when i look at my photos up to this day, i still feel grateful that i got team DP to capture this big step in my life. i am sure that no other person/team can give me such great photos. a lot of people actually think that it is the model who makes the photo wonderful but the photographers actually play a greater role. i am a lucky person to have them. bihira makakita ng photographer na kasundo mo, seriously. sometimes, models and photographers don’t match at all. but not for us! im in love with all their works. no photo will be as great if not for them. my teacher told me that the nature of photos are to be still, thus it should make you look at it again and again to understand the whole story. however, the videos they made were equally great. in contrast to photos. their videos make you look forward to what will heppen next. team DP’s brains contain a lot of creative ideas. i remember the team told me that they’ll make my shoot different. they don’t like repetition of works – this actually makes them a better team because their river of creative ideas are continuously flowing into our hearts.

We planned for our parents golden anniversary for years, and we would want it to be the Golden Wedding Anniversary of all golden wedding anniversary. My parents did not have so many pictures when they got married back in 1958. The ultimate challenge for us was how to handle the video and pictures; after all we want to relive each day, the fun and love and excitement on that day. Sure there are a lot of photographers that we could hire but do they deliver?

We are quite pleased with the way you guys took the pictures from early morning that day until after the reception was done. I have never seen hard working photographers and videographers such you guys, YOU saved the day. We did not have to worry about not having pictures that day as you guys worked around the clock. YOU are approachable, nice and just taking pictures after pictures. You even gave us suggestions as to what would be great to do once the people started coming in so that you will capture every moment. We loved it that you were there that day.

Did you deliver? Did you ever!

I will highly recommend YOU guys to everyone I know who will have an occasion, big or small…I am advertising you guys here in CANADA….

Mr, Iamie’s works are totally amazing, he started all these as his hobby and now its his profession,I learned a lot from him as i just used to watch him work on photos and videos,and i’ve learned concepts,designs and a lot of ideas from his works. He was my photographer on my 18th birthday and I love the designs!I love everything he did with my pictures. And one of his works that i really admire the most are those nature shots.esp the sky and the sea!

Picman’s work??? It’s amazing.. The way kuya iamie take pictures was really great..hehehe.. di tuloy obvious na rush yun party ko after getting the results from him. ANG GANDA NG KINALABASAN.. My long wait was worth it.. With my experience when we had my pre-pictorials up to the day of my debut was unforgettable. Talagang papalabasin ni kuya iamie you true smile til you find your self enjoying of the poses you’re doing. with his staff, mababait silang lahat and easy to approach that’s why I find myself easy working out with them. Kaya yun, maganda talaga ang results. Salamat po, kay PICMAN.. Who did all the effort na magpahiga-higa sa grass ng Pontefino just to capture the perfect shot for me… And give me lots of freebies..hehehe..
I’m so happy with the outcome, as well as my friends and family members really appreciated your awesome, fantastic job.
My debut was really a fantasy turn to reality and will be kept in my memory. Memories of the photos, videos that PICMAN did…
